About Keira
Kiki Pepin was born and raised in Los Angeles and has been playing volleyball since she was 12. She joined Sunshine Volleyball Club in 7th grade and has been a dedicated athlete at the club ever since. Kikiโs passion for the game and her drive to grow as both a player and teammate over the past 4 years have led her to return to Sunshine as an Assistant Coach, excited to give back to the community that helped shape the athlete, and now coach she has become.
Kiki has also played school volleyball since middle school, where she helped her team win the league championship. As a freshman at Wildwood School, she became a starting player on the Varsity team and helped lead them to the CIF quarterfinals and a spot in state playoffs for the first time in Wildwood history for girls volleyball. In her sophomore year, after transferring to Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences, Kiki continued her Varsity career, once again making it far along in CIF. This time she made it even further than the previous year, making it to CIF semi-finals and going even deeper into state playoffs.
Now a junior, Kiki is seen as a leader on her team at school and a role model to younger players. She values connection and fun, which are core principles that form the foundation of her coaching philosophy. She believes the best teams are the ones that have fun because theyโre the most motivated to develop the skills needed to succeed.
For Kiki, volleyball has instilled focus, motivation, and a deep love for setting and achieving goals. She is excited about helping younger athletes experience the same joy from achieving a goal they have been working towards. Seeing the excitement on a playerโs face when they reach a new milestone is what drives her as a coach.
