Victoriaโ€™s coaching philosophy is based on her belief that great athletes put just as much focus on their weight room training as they do with their sport specific practice.

About Victoria

Victoria Guzman danced competitively and played club soccer until she saw Misty may Treanor and Kerri Walsh playing volleyball at the Olympics. She began her volleyball career at Granada Hills Charter High School as a freshman. She also found the time to play for the Elite Volleyball Club in Chatsworth. During her senor year she began working with a sports performance coach to be better prepared for playing at the college level.

She went on to play at Robert Morris University in Chicago as a libero/DS and setter during her sophomore and junior years. The time spent in high school with the performance coach impacted more than just her playing ability, it showed her a career path. Victoria graduated in April 2020 with a double major in Allied Health Science and Business Administration with the goal of pursuing a position in strength and conditioning coaching.

She was the assistant coach at Louisville High School in Woodland Hills, CA for the 2021-2022 season. Victoria began coaching for the Sunshine Volleyball Club in 2022.

Victoriaโ€™s coaching philosophy is based on her belief that great athletes put just as much focus on their weight room training as they do with their sport specific practice.

She loves helping the athletes move better; improving their athletic stance, their jumping and landing mechanics, their ability to change direction quickly and sprint to the ball.

Victoria has a dog named Kobe. He has been with her since her sophomore year in college. She enjoys spending time hiking and traveling. In July 2022 she began an intern program in the Sports Performance Program at Pepperdine University and is studying for her CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist).
