About steven

Steven graduated from California Polytechnic State in Pomona with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Materials Engineering. He continued his education at USC, earning a master’s degree in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering. Today he is an aeronautical engineer at Lockheed Martin.

Steven has been coaching for the Sunshine Volleyball Club for 3 years. This year he is the assistant coach for the 12 Hotshots.

His coaching philosophy has two main points: create an environment that encourages young women to develop skills on and off the volleyball court and promote a positive learning environment.

Steven loves the sport of volleyball as it brings him happiness and joy. Coaching provides the opportunity to share this joy and share the skills needed to find happiness in a lifelong sport.

He and his wife, Stesha, live in South Bay. They have a dog named Brody who occasionally makes an appearance at Sunshine events. Steven plays in co-ed California Beach Volleyball Association tournaments with Stesha.
