  • Named an AVCA Phenom Athlete, boasting one of the nation’s highest VPI scores.
  • Played at Northridge and was ranked 6th in the Big West on the Kill Leaderboard.
  • All-Big West Honorable Mention
  • MVP at the Grand Canyon Classic, and on the All-Tournament Teams at the Weber State Wildcat Invitation.

About Seyvion

Seyvion Waggoner grew up in Bountiful, Utah where she played club and high school volleyball. Bountiful High School won the 4A Utah State Championship in 2015 and 2016. During her senior year she was named the 4A MVP, Max Preps Player of the Week, and MVP by both the Salt Lake Tribune and the Desert News. She continued playing volleyball at Rice University in Houston, Texas (2017-2019) while studying Sports Management. Seyvion was on the Rice Invitational 1 All-Tournament Team in 2017. She was on the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll and was named an AVCA Phenom Athlete, boasting one of the nation’s highest VPI scores.

She transferred to CSUN, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication in 2023. While playing at Northridge she was ranked 6 th in the Big West on the Kill Leaderboard, was All-Big West Honorable Mention, MVP at the Grand Canyon Classic, and on the All-Tournament Teams at the Weber State Wildcat Invitation, the Fresno State Invitational, and the Grand Canyon Classic. Seyvion has been coaching since 2016, starting as the summer coach for Murray Sports Complex Utah Volleyball. In 2017 she coached at the Houston Juniors Clinic.

She returned to coach for Sinjin in 20121. This is her first- year coaching for the Sunshine Volleyball Club. Her coaching philosophy centers on cultivating authentic relationships, grounded in trust, to create an environment where players can thrive as their true selves while embracing their love for the game of volleyball. She believes in celebrating each player’s unique strengths and perspectives, prioritizing open communication and reliability to build a foundation of trust which is essential for team success.

Her aim is to motivate competition and drive individual and collective growth. Seyvion loves coaching because she believes in the profound impact sports as they impart invaluable life lessons and as a coach, she can provide a space where athletes can create lifelong relationships, make great memories, and at the same time develop skills in the sport. She has a large family and loves hanging out with them. She also enjoys listening to music, spending time outdoors, and being active.
