Coaching Philosophy
Samโs coaching philosophy is built on the belief that the key to consistently performing at a high level requires the individual to take responsibility for putting their physical and mental health first. She aims to bridge the gap between holistic health and sports performance by focusing on sports nutrition, emotional intelligence, and mental performance.

About Samantha
Samantha โSamโ Jones graduated from Hatboro-Horsham High School (Horsham, Pennsylvania) where she played volleyball all four years. Her senior year she was captain of the Lady Hatters as well as being named the All-State and Montgomery County Player of the Year. She was all-district and all-conference selection four times.
She was recruited by Kent State University (Kent, Ohio) as a libero, although she played both libero and setter. She was a four-year starter. Sam graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and is also a Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor. Following a year working as a intensive care nurse she played professionally in Poland for two years.
She began coaching at 16, running clinics; she spent one summer traveling with NoEzyBuckets, hosting elite performance clinics. In 2023 she began coaching the freshman/sophomore team at Mira Coast High School as well as being the assistant coach for the varsity team. 2024 is her first year with the Sunshine Volleyball Club.

She loves seeing the evolution of the athletes. She states, โVolleyball players are very intelligent and athletic, so by giving them the right resources and opportunities, they are able to elevate their game so quickly.โ
Samโs hobbies include reading, hiking, and taking a variety of fitness classes. She also enjoys playing crystal singing bowls. While her family still lives in Pennsylvania she is at home in Long Beach with her puppy, Goji, and her boyfriend.
