About rylee

Rylee Chilson graduated from Carondelet High School (Concord, CA) in 2022. In 2022 her team made their 1 st appearance at the CIF Championships – Division III.

In addition to her four years of high school volleyball, Rylee played three years of beach volleyball with the Kleos Beach Volleyball Club and five years of indoor volleyball with the Diablo Valley Volleyball Club. She helped the Diablo Valley VBC place 2nd at the Far Western tournament in 2021.

In 2021 Rylee began coaching boys and girls with the Diablo Valley VBC. She was the head coach of the Diablo Beach Volleyball Program in 2022 and ran clinics for boys and girls. This is her first year with Sunshine Volleyball Club and is the Director of the Peewees and Juniors.

Rylee’s coaching philosophy centers around creating a positive and productive environment where players can better themselves and love all the sport has to offer. She prioritizes making practice sessions a time that the players look forward to and she focuses on being a positive role model in all aspects of their lives.

She loves seeing the joy the players have when they experience a breakthrough and watching their love for the game develop.

Rylee is currently a freshman at Pepperdine University, studying sports medicine. She currently holds the university record for women’s bench press with 125 pounds. When not playing volleyball, she loves to read, workout, and surf.
