About Megan

Megan Mullinax began playing volleyball when she was 10 years-old, playing both indoor and beach volleyball during her high school years. She started as a defensive specialist all four years at the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth. She was the #1 most consistent server (933 out of 962 serves) in the Little East Conference four times and helped lead the team to their first win over UMASS – Boston in 14 years. Megan graduated in 2020 with a BS in Marine Biology and a minor in Sustainability.

She coached for the Mass Premier Volleyball Club as well as numerous clinics and camps. For the past two years she has been coaching at Louisville High School. This year she will be coaching the Sunshine Volleyball Club 16 Heatwaves.

Megan’s coaching philosophy is based on the adage “you get out what you put in”. She believes the players should always be giving 100%, in practices and in games, by doing this they develop and become better players. Desiring to continuously improve and learn is key.
She loves to see the girls progress each time they work on specific skills and what they can accomplish with hard work and dedication.

Megan lives in the San Fernando Valley and in her free time enjoys going on hikes and playing beach volleyball. She loves trying new hobbies; currently she’s working on her surfing skills.

the reward is not so great without the struggle.
