Winning means nothing if there’s nothing being learned from it, whether that’s physical or emotional. She believes finding success in a sport means prioritizing self-improvement in all aspects and improving skills as a player, as well as building confidence in yourself and the people around you.

About emma

Emma Schwettmann played at Marymount High School for three years. She played right side hitter and was named MVP on the JV squad. She played for the Sunshine Volleyball Club during all four years of high school.

She graduated from Vistamar High School in 2021 and attended Boston University her freshman year. Currently she is back in California for a year and taking classes at Santa Monica College before heading back to Boston in 2023. She will resume playing on the school’s club team there.

While this is her first year as a coach, Emma has worked with children for several years and is looking forward to coaching the 13 Premier team.

Emma would love to see the players take something away from this year that they will keep for longer than this single season. When she’s not playing volleyball, Emma enjoys dancing, swimming, and working out. She is an artist and plays the guitar.
