About Brittany

Brittany Tiegs played on the Florida State University beach volleyball team and was named to the All-American team in 2012. She transferred to the University of Hawaii at Manoa (2015 BS Food Science & Human Nutrition) where she was a two-time All-American. Representing the US in 2014 she won the gold medal at the World University Championships in Porto, Portugal. After graduation she played one season of professional indoor volleyball in the Maldives. In 2016 Brittany began playing professionally on the Australia National Beach Tour; she remains a playing professional with the AVP.

She coached for Sunsation Beach Volleyball Camp (Spain) in 2015. Back in the US she coached two seasons for the Vipers Volleyball Club in Palm Beach, Florida. She coached the next two years for Surfside Volleyball Club before joining the coaching team at Sunshine Volleyball Club in 2019.

Brittany’s coaching philosophy is based on her belief that building character is just as important as developing skills.

She loves coaching because she wants to give back to the sport that has meant so much to her.

Brittany traded one beach home for another; she grew up in Jenson Beach, Florida but now lives in Redondo Beach, California.

long enough,
the right things will happen.
