About amanda

Amanda Troughton played libero for four years at the University of Oregon, graduating with a BS in Economics in 2010. During each of those years the Ducks made it to the NCAA tournament and finished in the Sweet 16 twice. Amanda was ranked among the top tree in service aces per year in the Pac-12 and in the top 10 in overall career records for service aces per set at the University of Oregon

She began her coaching career with the Sunshine Volleyball Club in 2013. Amanda also coached for four years at Marlborough School. She is currently the Girls Volleyball Program Lead at Windward School. The Windward varsity has had two consecutive top three finishes in the Gold Coast League and three consecutive CIF playoff berths.

Amanda’s coaching philosophy starts with the belief that volleyball offers a great framework for young people to build character and skills on and off the court. Her goal is to utilize this framework and achieve results by instilling a winning culture through personal development, positive mindset, and leadership.

She loves the spirit of the game and helping players realize their talents, reach their potential and prepare for the next level of competition.
