About ali

Ali Fathali Nejad has a BS in Computer Software Technology Engineering. He played volleyball for the Iran Volleyball League from 1988 until 2006. He went on to coach for the Iranian clubs and national youth teams from 2006 until 2016.

He has been the JV head coach and the varsity assistant coach at Marymount High School since 2017. Ali has also been coaching Sunshine Volleyball Club teams since 2017.

Ali compares learning volleyball to learning music; there is a harmony throughout, but the melodies vary. He believes there are always solutions to problems, but you must learn how to think them through.

He wants to teach the fundamentals and techniques to all the players and to help them develop their skills. He enjoys designing drills to increase the teams’ strength, agility, and endurance.

Aside from his coaching duties, Ali is the Director of Operations and Administrative Services for Sunshine Volleyball Club.
